We are now seeking public nominations for East Belfast's 'Favourites' across a number of categories. Public nominations can be made via Belfast Live from 18th September - 18th October by clicking the 'Nominate Now' buttons below. The top five nominees in each category (with the most nominations), will be but put out to a public vote from 21st Oct – 18th November for the public to decide on their finalists and winner. The top three finalists will be announced, along with the other shortlisted finalists, towards the end of November 2024. The winner, with the most votes, will be announced live at the awards ceremony on Friday 31st January 2025. So, if you are a business or organisation that wishes to be in with a chance of winning, why not nominate yourself or indeed, spread the word and ask your clients to nominate you. Remember to get as many nominations in as possible between 18th September - 18th October via Belfast Live to be considered as one of ' East Belfast's Favourites'.
The Eastside Award for Favourite Primary Classroom Assistant of the Year
We are inviting nominations from the general public to showcase their ‘Favourite Primary Classroom Assistant'. This is a classroom assistant who works at primary level within the education sector, who goes above and beyond in their everyday duties to make a positive impact and contribution to the school in which they work, for the benefit of pupils, staff and the wider community. |
The Eastside Award for Favourite Post-Primary School Hero of the Year
We are inviting nominations from the general public to showcase their local ‘School Hero’ in East Belfast. This is an unsung hero who is not in a teaching role, but who works at post-primary level within the education sector who goes above and beyond in their everyday duties to make a positive impact and contribution to the school in which they work, for the benefit of pupils, staff and the wider community. This could include (but not limited to), nominations for administration staff, bus drivers, catering staff, caretakers who work within an education provision in East Belfast. |

This Award is open to individuals, businesses or social enterprises from or within East Belfast & Greater East Belfast area which have been trading for no more than three years (commenced business after 18th October 2021). |
The Eastside Award for Business Growth
This Award is open to SME businesses or social enterprises operating within the East Belfast & Greater East Belfast area that are able to demonstrate growth in the areas of business performance and employment over the past 3 years (since 18th October 2021) that has led to product or service excellence and sustainable improvements in business performance. |
